PIONEER COMMONS
Restoring a Building. Connecting a Community.
The Well Church is establishing a permanent home while helping create new opportunities for businesses, students and community leaders in downtown Americus.
Americus has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, two colleges and a historic downtown. Each contributes significantly to our community. But we believe there's an opportunity for greater connection between them.
Pioneer Commons is designed to help bridge those circles through affordable professional workspace, shared resources, leadership development, and collaboration.
Imagine the First Impression. Imagine crossing the bridge into downtown Americus for the first time. One of the first buildings you encounter is Pioneer Commons. Inside, entrepreneurs are building businesses, students are learning from professionals, and leaders are investing in the next generation.
What if the first building you encountered downtown helped tell the story of where Americus is going?

A Church for the Good of Our City.
We believe God has called us to more than gathering together on Sundays. He has called us to love our neighbors, seek the good of our city, and make disciples of Jesus.
That's why we're approaching Pioneer Commons with an outward-facing vision. We need a permanent home for worship and discipleship, but we also want to use the resources God has entrusted to us to bless Americus throughout the week.
Our prayer is that businesses grow, relationships form, leaders develop, and our community flourishes. We can restore a building and create opportunities, but only God can transform hearts.
We want to be a church that is not simply located in Americus but actively seeks the good of Americus.
Our Biblical Foundation
Six prayer initiatives guiding our hard work and heart work.
1. Thanksgiving | Psalm 100:4–5
2. Consecration | Romans 12:1 · Colossians 3:17
3. Willing Hands and Faithful Work | Nehemiah 4:6
4. The Good of Our Community | Jeremiah 29:7
5. The Heart Work Only God Can Do | Daniel 9:17–19
6. Disciples Made and Multiplied | Matthew 28:18–20
The full Our Next Yes guide includes the prayer initiatives and ways to support the renovation.
