Psalm 2
Psalm 2 forces on every one of us is this: Whose kingdom are you building, yours or the King’s?
When the Bible says ‘King,’ it doesn’t mean a symbolic figurehead or an elected official. It means the One you cannot vote out, the One who has the right to rule your life, the One with the final word. You only bow… or break. Psalm 2 says we have a King, and His name is Jesus.
Jesus is not just the savior of the world; according to Psalm 2 and throughout the Old and New Testaments, He is described as the king. That is why we call him the LORD and Savior.
He is not a life coach, He is a king. We are a people that were created to joyfully serve Him.
The question Psalm 2 leaves us with is simple: Whose kingdom are you building, yours or His?
One collapses.
One lasts forever.
Bow to the King…
and take refuge in Him.
