Psalm 73

Dec 7, 2025    John Schroeder

Asaph asks a peculiar question: "Why do good things happen to wicked people?" Our suffering and the wicked success can distort our view of God. The world is not as it should be; that is the case. It isn't very clear until we go into the sanctuary. The LORD is near. He is better. Judgment is coming for the wicked. Your judgment has been paid for. Don’t follow your feelings. Be a man or woman of faith and take your feelings to Jesus. He understands them. He sees you. Don’t look at the surface level. This is as close to Hell as you will ever be. It feels like Hell. But God is holding your hand. He will keep you from stumbling. Find certainty not in circumstances but in Christ. Self-denial is the call. You will gain your life if you lose it. The pain you experience doesn’t go unnoticed; it is being stored up for glory.
