Mark 14:1-11 - True Worship

This story is the culmination of one whose life is amazed by Jesus. This text is a powerful display of pure worship. It is breathtaking. This text will remind us that our hope is not in what you or I have done or will do but in who has captivated you. Since chapter 1, we have witnessed Jesus' ministry, miracles, and teaching. From here, Mark shifts his focus on Jesus preparing for his sacrificial death on the cross. 

What Jesus has said and done has either taken root or has fallen on deaf ears. 

We will see a woman boldly display her complete commitment to who Jesus is and what He has come to do. As we meditate on the text, we will be amazed at her passion and devotion to Jesus. In this story, this woman will leave no doubt she is all in for Jesus. Her devotion should shock us. It has the power to cause us to ask, "Do we know and trust Jesus like this woman?"
