Mark 13:21-27, 32-37 - Jesus Promises to Return

Jesus did not tell his disciples about the future to cause fear but to prepare them. We are also promised the Holy Spirit’s presence and His soon return to make everything right.  Jesus doesn’t make promises he can’t keep; that is amazing. So, if Jesus says he is coming back, we can be sure he will. Today, this passage encourages endurance for the faint-hearted and promotes joyful anticipation in hardships to those waiting for Jesus. This news is great for believers, but it should bring fear to those taking advantage of this world's brokenness, abusing those in need for selfish gain.
